Tawanda Sims is the Founder and CEO of Elite Events Management located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Business Blast Friday and the creator of the Let’s Plan Conference. She has over 25 years of experience in Wedding Planning, Corporate Events, Human Resources and Management. She is a creative thinker who enjoys planning, producing, and managing weddings and events to precisely fit the personalities of her clients.
As founder of the Let’s Plan Conference and Business Blast Fridays, her goal is to connect the dots and help you learn how to combine your passion with a strategic plan for growing it into a thriving business.
She earned her wedding planning certification from The Bridal Society, The Nation’s Leader in Wedding Planner Certification and Training. Tawanda’s take charge attitude, strong business skills and an eye for detail, enabled her to establish a successful wedding and event planning firm. She is known for her “no-nonsense” approach when it comes to planning weddings and events. Her impeccable taste, outgoing personality and firm but gracious demeanor are the perfect qualities of an Elite wedding and event planner.

Veronica is an emcee for all occasions. She has a gift of engaging audiences with her wit, warmth and words. When Veronica takes the microphone, she doesn’t just introduce participants on a prepared program, she PERFORMS and it is ELECTRIC! She has the ability to connect with people from ages zero to 100. Veronica’s sense of humor, love for people and her energetic and effervescent personality is the perfect combination for a fun, festive and unforgettable event! She has performed as emcee for the opening act for comedians Small Fry, Sister Canteloupe and Rayzor. Veronica has also introduced J. Moss and BET’s Sunday Best second season winner, Y’anna Crawley and finalists Jessica Reedy and Latice Crawford.
Neffie Pierre

Meneftha (Neffie) Pierre is a South Florida native who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Human Communication from the University of Central Florida in 2015.
She also graduated with her Masters of Business Administration in Sport Management from Florida Atlantic University in 2018. Most recently, Pierre earned a Project Management Professional Certificate from the PMI.
Pierre has over seven years of varying experiences at the institutional, and non-profit level. Not limited to just sports, Pierre has a background in business operations, event planning, and project management.
Kaveena Alexander
Events Management Specialist
Kaveena joined our team 2.5 years ago as an intern, and now serves as an Event Coordinator. She started her own event planning company, but before taking on any clients she wanted to test the water. I knew right away she was built for this industry.
She is licensed mental health counselor and clinical coordinator by day, the founder of Alexander Lush Events & Decor LLC, and the mother of a handsome little boy.
With an eye for detail, her gracious but firm demeanor, I knew I couldn’t let her go. She was the perfect fit for coordinating and directing our clients guests and family members before, during and after an event.
I offered her to stay apart of our team as long as she needs to before branching out on her own. The rest is history…
Fun Fact:
She has been 5’8.5” tall since the age of 12. She loves reading, her favorite books to read growing up was A Child Called It and Nancy Drew.
If and when you attend a wedding or event that Elite Events is producing, you will see this beautiful, brilliant tall woman walking around with clip board in hand, making sure your guests and family members are taken care of.
